Olive Geoghegan

Olive Geoghegan hails from Ardrahan in County Galway. After completing her degree in Communication Studies and specializing in Video Production in DCU, Olive joined the Production Team at City Channel to work behind the scenes and now is the Producer of a number of the channels programmes.

Olive is no stranger to the bright lights as she spent a year touring the world with the cast of renowned Irish Dance shows Rhythm of the Dance and Dance of Desire. She has danced in England, Portugal, Finland, Holland, France, Greece, Russia, USA, Korea, Malaysia, Dubai, Bahrain, and India. Her most challenging dance role to date has been the female lead character Queen Aoife of Dance of Desire.

She stepped in front of the camera in 2007 to present On Your Doorstep and is now part of the City Channel News Team putting together news bulletins for Dublin and Munster from 6pm until 10pm.

She will be keeping you up to speed on what's happening around Dublin's fair city on the Entertainment Update which is a quick fire round up of the hottest events and gigs happening throughout the week.

And and her latest endeavour sees Olive co-present City Channels brand new show "The Evening Show" every Friday at 7pm which is repeated at 9am and Monday morning 8am and 11am. Presenter David Harvey Hosts the show Monday through Wednesday with Rachel Wyse taking over Thursday evenings.
