City Channel moves to Channel 107
NTL today announced a major restructuring of its EPG (Electronic Programming Guide) numbering system which sees City Channel move to channel 107. The move is a part of an initiative which sees all Irish indigenous channels grouped between channels 101 and 107.
Commenting on the development Vanessa Kaminski, City Channels Head of Programming, said - "We are delighted with this realignment of channels on NTL's EPG. As BBC1 will be located at channel 108, this will greatly increase the casual traffic onto the channel and elevate City Channel to main channel status. Overall we expect these enhancements to have a major impact on the stations performance in terms of viewers and awareness."
The company is currently engaged in the expansion of its transmission operations. In June City Channel will establish new television services in the south east of the country and in Galway.
